Finding the right therapist is about more than qualifications and credentials. It's about finding someone you feel comfortable talking to, someone who understands your experiences, and someone who can provide a safe, supportive space for change.
At Creative Calm Therapy, Andrew Rewell and Mihaela Marian bring together a diverse range of therapeutic training and experience. Andrew's integrative counselling approach and ongoing specialist training in couples therapy complement Mihaela's person-centred, creative, and mindfulness-based practice.
As BACP-registered counsellors, they share a commitment to ethical, compassionate, and client-centred therapy, creating a safe space where individuals can explore challenges, strengthen resilience, and discover new ways forward.
Together, they offer counselling for anxiety, stress, bereavement, self-esteem, relationship difficulties, personal growth, and life transitions, both in-person and online.
A Shared Vision: Therapy That Meets You Where You Are
Life can feel overwhelming at times. Whether you're experiencing anxiety, stress, grief, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, trauma, or major life transitions, reaching out for support can feel like a significant step.
Creative Calm Therapy was created to provide a welcoming, non-judgemental space where people can explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences at their own pace. Rather than offering one-size-fits-all solutions, Andrew and Mihaela tailor their therapeutic approach to the unique needs of each client.
Their work is grounded in the understanding that meaningful change happens through a trusting therapeutic relationship—one built on empathy, authenticity, and respect.

Meet Mihaela Marian
Mihaela is a qualified counsellor trained in Humanistic Person-Centred Therapy Therapeutic Counselling, Creative Therapeutic Approaches, Mindfulness, and part of her training is Integrative.
She is a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and a member of Creative Counsellors, reflecting her commitment to both professional excellence and creative, holistic ways of supporting emotional wellbeing.
Drawing on her counselling training and extensive experience within health and social care, Mihaela offers a compassionate, collaborative, and client-led approach. She believes that each person is unique, and as such, therapy should be tailored to meet individual needs, experiences, and goals.
Her integrative approach allows her to draw from a range of therapeutic perspectives, combining traditional talking therapy with creative and mindfulness-based techniques where appropriate. This flexibility enables clients to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences in ways that feel meaningful and accessible to them.
A key part of Mihaela's work is the integration of psychoeducation, helping clients develop a deeper understanding of how thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and nervous system responses can influence their wellbeing. By combining therapeutic exploration with practical knowledge and insight, clients are often able to better understand their experiences, build self-awareness, and develop tools that support lasting change.
Mihaela recognises that some experiences can be difficult to put into words. Through creative and mindful approaches, she offers clients alternative ways to explore emotions, process experiences, and reconnect with their strengths, encouraging greater resilience, self-compassion, and personal growth.
The Power of Creative Therapy
One of the aspects that makes Creative Calm Therapy unique is its incorporation of creative therapeutic techniques alongside traditional talking therapy.
For some people, expressing emotions verbally can feel difficult. Creative approaches such as art, sand play, symbolism, mindfulness, and other forms of creative expression can help clients explore thoughts and feelings in a way that feels more natural and accessible. These approaches can support self-awareness, emotional processing, and personal growth.
Creative therapy isn't about artistic ability. It's about providing additional pathways for reflection, understanding, and healing.
A Safe Space for Whatever You're Facing
People seek counselling for many different reasons. Some arrive with a clear understanding of what they want to work on, while others simply know that something doesn't feel quite right.
At Creative Calm Therapy, clients are supported with challenges including:
- Anxiety and stress
- Bereavement and loss
- Relationship difficulties
- Low self-esteem and confidence
- Trauma and past experiences
- Depression and low mood
- Workplace stress and burnout
- Family challenges and life transitions
- Personal growth and self-discovery
Whatever brings you to therapy, Andrew and Mihaela believe that you deserve a space where your experiences can be heard, explored, and understood without judgement.
Taking the First Step
Many people contact a therapist feeling unsure of where to begin. That's completely normal.
You don't need to have all the answers before reaching out. Therapy is not about arriving with a perfectly explained problem—it's about creating space to understand yourself more fully and find a way forward.
Whether you're navigating a difficult period in life or seeking greater self-awareness and emotional wellbeing, Andrew and Mihaela are committed to walking alongside you on that journey.
Sometimes the first step towards healing is simply starting the conversation. 💛
